Class Guidelines

These guidelines were proposed and agreed upon by the whole class on our first day. Thanks for your input - you all had great ideas and I think we've got the groundwork laid for a great time together.
  • Start and End on time.
  • No laughing AT dumb questions. (Laughing WITH is okay!)
  • Only say what needs to be said.
  • Be respectful - no cell phones.

Good job, everyone! See you Friday!

A new link

I posted the Firefox download site under Helpful Links. If you have any trouble, you can always bring your questions to the next class!
I am really pleased with the way the class went yesterday. Lots of bravery! I liked the way you all helped each other out, too. Very collaborative.
And, thanks for all your comments. I know I suggested that you use the "Anonymous" selection when you post, but you can also sign your name after you write your message. Unless you want to remain anonymous - and that's okay, too!
Have a great weekend, everyone. You all did a great job! Thanks for a great first day.

Welcome!

Welcome to the first day of Not Your Father's Internet. Think of this course as more like a lab than a class. Not everyone will learn the same thing, but everyone will learn something! This first day, we will all take a short survey to find out what's the most pressing need for each participant. I look forward to working with you all ~ and I hope each of you find this course useful.
So, let's get started...if you will all download and complete this survey. You can print it out and fill it out by hand or fill it out on the computer and print it.

UPDATE:
The first lesson of technology...What SHOULD work doesn't always ACTUALLY work! I'll explain!
